Hiking in Acadia involves a lot of mountains, massive rocks, beautiful views of the ocean and looking for blue paint and Acadian Bates cairns to find the way🏔 #hike#hiking#trail#trails#outdoors#nature#woods#mountains#acadianationalpark#maine

Do you know of the trail system that takes you from Tahoe Donner to historical downtown Truckee? It’s about a 20 minute 🏃‍♀️ walk, give or take. This home sits upon .44 acres and backs to green belt and trail system, offering great forested views and privacy; thus the reason for it being our favorite Broker Tour property of the day!🌲☀️🏔 . . CA BRE # ‪01947697‬/NV License # S.‪0176739‬ ‪.‬ ‪.‬ #11698KitzbuhelRoad#home#forsale#trails#views#luxury#realestate#remodel#custom#update#property#private#invest#truckee#tahoedonner#california#realtor#househunting#homebuying#investment#nature#beautiful#hiking#biking#adventure#mountains#explore#motivation  - Listing Provided by Lawrence Realty

Tahoe 200, day 1: I was there. At the start line of a 200 miler. I had done the training, and it was time to start a 205.5 mile lap around a little lake in the mountains!  At 9am on Friday (the 13th), @runcandicerun  asked us to recite the oath, we did the national anthem, and we were off climbing right away.  4 miles in, 201.5 miles to go.  3000 feet climbed, 32000 feet to go!  We were moving with one goal in mind - to get to the next aid station and that’s how I wanted to tackle this distance. One foot after another.  The day warmed up and the effort was feeling hard already. What? It must be the altitude, I thought but then I’m able to run fourteeners with ease so that puzzled me. Pretty soon, I was going through all my water and was covered in salt stains top to bottom. I drank more. I ate more. Nothing was sticking and the body rejected it multiple times. I continued on to the next aid station and every time there was a smiling volunteer getting me water and food! Still wasn’t able to absorb anything but I knew that with the cooler night ahead, I’d be able to ease the effort and hopefully regain a lot of lost fluids and food. And bounce I did because it’s too early in a 100 hour race to think about giving up. I told my body it needed to show up because my mind was committed to get to day two.
